I love being a baby and family photographer in Surrey! At 6 months of age, or thereabouts, babies reach an developmental milestones including sitting unaided and beginning to crawl. Capturing these milestones with family photography allows parents to preserve these precious moments and track your baby’s growth and development over time.
Older baby sessions take place from around 6-9 months of age. And this is the ideal opportunity to capture the love and smiles with family photography, too. Family and older baby portraits hold immense sentimental value and become cherished heirlooms passed down through generations, making these photos serve as a visual reminder of the joy and love experienced during this special stage of parenthood.
I have a collection of outfits for your little one to wear which will work perfectly for your older baby or family photography in Surrey. Or you can bring your own – it’s up to you!
Baby ‘sitter-sessions’ are tailor-made and allow me to capture your baby’s joyful playful personality. Before your session, we will plan the colors, props, and styling options beforehand, creating a memorable experience for all my clients.
THE CONSULTATION

During our consultation, in person or over the phone/email, we will discuss your preferences for your photo-session, whether you prefer props or a more natural setting. Every session is personalised for each client, right down to understanding the colours and style of your home to ensure that any prints or wall art perfectly complement your home space.
Your Photo Session
Your Baby session usually takes approximately 1 hour, 30 minutes from start to finish.

On the day of your baby and family photography session, I want to make you and your family feel completely relaxed and at ease. Upon arrival at my cosy garden studio, you’ll be greeted with freshly baked pastries and refreshments, with a little tour of my studio.

Your Comfort is Priority
Your comfort and well-being are my top priorities throughout the session. we’ll move at you and your baby’s pace and allow plenty of time for feeding, soothing and changing when needed. I like to create a comfortable and nurturing environment where you can unwind and enjoy the experience.
Capturing Precious Moments
After initially capturing those precious family and sibling moments, we will then transition to focusing on your baby, where I will carefully pose your baby capturing, every moment, crafted to create stunning portraits that showcase the beauty of your baby. I work patiently and carefully, ensuring that your baby is comfortable and safe throughout the process, whether swaddled in cozy blankets or nestled in soft props, every detail is carefully considered to create beautiful, timeless images.

Chosing your portraits with your baby and family photographer in Surrey
Approx 2 weeks after your Photo-shoot
The photo-reveal is a time of great excitement, where we come together at the studio or via ‘Zoom’ to celebrate the beautiful moments we’ve captured during your special session.
This is where you have the opportunity to review your complete gallery and help you decide on any wall art/albums/photo-boxes or prints for your home.
This is the moment for you and your family to relive the magic of your newborn and families earliest days.

BOOK YOUR SESSION
To secure your preferred photo-session date and time, a small holding deposit of £50 is currently required for bookings.
This deposit will be deducted from the total cost of your chosen package on the day of your session.
Rest assured, your reservation will be confirmed once the deposit is received.

YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED
How long is a older babies photo-session?
Older babies photo-sessions last for 2 hours, unless you choose a mini-session which is just one hour.
Can parents & Siblings be included ?
Absolutely, including parents and siblings in older baby photo-sessions can create beautiful and memorable family portraits. It’s a wonderful way to capture the love, connection, and joy within the family as the baby grows and interacts with their loved ones.
On the day of your session
On the day of your baby session, I will greet you all and give you a little tour of my studio. I will then take some time to get to know your little one before we begin the session, by introducing my little basket of toys, which always helps babies feel more relaxed and happy when they are coming into a new enviroment.
Do you provide the outfits?
For baby sessions, some of my clients prefer to bring their own clothing and outfits for baby, but i do have a selection of outfits you are more than welcome to borrow if you wish on the day.
When will the images be ready to view?
Your gallery of images are hand edited one by one, to the highest standard, this process takes approximately 2 weeks, at which point you will be invited back for your ‘slideshow gallery viewing’ or if you prefer a Zoom meeting this can also be arranged, where you will choose what you would like to purchase.
Collecting prints/wall art
If you live within 30 minutes of my studio I will be in touch after your gallery viewing whereby you will have decided on your package, then if prints or wall art has been ordered I will be in touch as to when they will be ready to collect. If you live over one hour away I will post your prints and wall art to you.
