I became a newborn photographer in Guildford, Surrey, after the joy of becoming a mother myself to my three beautiful children. This really gave me an understanding of the overwhelming love that fills your heart, the moment you first lay eyes on your newborn baby.
I know that it’s truly heartwarming to witness the remarkable changes in your newborn baby’s appearance and personality, watching your little one grow and develop right before your eyes.
Newborn photography requires careful timing to capture those adorable, sleepy poses that parents cherish forever and for this reason, I schedule newborn sessions between days 7 and 18 after birth. During this period, babies tend to be at their sleepiest and most content, making it easier to pose them in their natural, womb-like positions that parents adore.
I recommend booking your newborn session with your newborn photographer in Guildford, Surrey, well in advance if possible, ideally during your pregnancy after your 20 week baby scan to secure your session.

CONSULTATION
During our consultation, in person or over the phone/email, we will discuss your preferences for your photo-session, whether you prefer props or a more natural setting. Every session is personalised for each client, right down to understanding the colours and style of your home to ensure that any prints or wall art perfectly complement your home space.

On the day of your newborn photography session, I want to make you and your family feel completely relaxed and at ease. Upon arrival at my cosy garden studio newar Guildford, you’ll be greeted with freshly baked pastries and refreshments, with a little tour of my studio

Your comfort and well-being are my top priorities throughout the session. we’ll move at you and your baby’s pace and allow plenty of time for feeding, soothing and changing when needed. I like to create a comfortable and nurturing environment where you can unwind and enjoy the experience.
Capturing Precious Moments
After initially capturing those precious family and sibling moments, we will then transition to focusing on your newborn baby, where I will carefully pose your baby capturing those tiny fingers and toes to delicate features and sleepy smiles, every moment is carefully crafted to create stunning portraits that showcase the beauty of your newborn baby. I work patiently and carefully, ensuring that your baby is comfortable and safe throughout the process. Whether swaddled in cozy blankets or nestled in soft props, every detail is carefully considered to create beautiful, timeless images.

THE GALLERY REVEAL
Approx 2 weeks after your Photo-shoot
The Photo-Reveal is a time of great excitement, where we come together at the studio or via ‘Zoom’ to celebrate the beautiful moments we’ve captured during your special session.
This is where you have the opportunity to review your complete gallery and help you decide on any wall art/albums/photo-boxes or prints for your home.
This is the moment for you and your family to relive the magic of your newborn and families earliest days.

BOOK YOUR SESSION
To secure your preferred photo-session date and time, a small holding deposit of £50 is currently required for bookings.
This deposit will be deducted from the total cost of your chosen package on the day of your session.
Rest assured, your reservation will be confirmed once the deposit is received.

YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED
When do we book our Newborn session?
I usually aim for your newborn photo-session to be within 2 weeks of birth, so ideally 7-14 days after birth, this is when newborns tend to be at their most sleepiest, but please don’t worry if you have missed this stage as I have still capture many precious moments upto 4 weeks of age.
This is why its important to secure your space in my diary.
I only take a limited amount of clients per month, so if your baby is early or late, can move the date for you.
How long will the session be ?
Around 2-3 hours, which includes any feeding and winding time needed during the session. If your baby needs extra feeding, winding then we will simply take more time.
I wont rush you or your baby, I only book one session per day for this reason, so that we can be relaxed on the day, I want you to enjoy your session without any time limit.
On the day of your session
On the day of your session, you come along with your newborn baby to my studio in Send, Surrey with any extra nappies and milk for your session, unless you are breastfeeding of course.
You will greeted by myself with refreshments, teas coffee, water and fresh croissants and pastries and simply relax and enjoy watching your amazing newborn baby sleeping and posing through their precious newborn session.
When will your images be ready to view ?
Your gallery of images are hand edited one by one, to the highest standard, this process takes approximately 2 weeks, at which point you will be invited back for your ‘slideshow gallery viewing’ or if you prefer a Zoom meeting this can also be arranged, where you will choose what you would like to purchase.
Collecting photos/wall art
If you live within 30 minutes of my studio I will be in touch after your gallery viewing whereby you will have decided on your package, then if prints or wall art has been ordered I will be in touch as to when they will be ready to collect. If you live over one hour away I will post your prints and wall art to you.
